This Ngapa Jukurrpa (Water Dreaming) belongs to Nangala and Nampijinpa and Jangala Jampijinpa skin group. The country associated to this dreaming is Mikanji, a watercourse that is usually dry, west of Yuendumu. In this creek bed there are Mulju (soakage or naturally occurring wells). The dreaming traveled from Puyurru - North West of Yuendumu to a Mulju in the Mikanji creek. By the side of the naturally occuring wells two old blind women (Nampinjimpas) were sitting. A rain Dreaming ancestor traveled to Mikanji from Puyurru and unleashed a huge storm. As the two women strained their eyes to see the sky, tears come to their eyes, the tears created the rain. Their spirits can still be seen at Mikanji in the form of two Ngapiri (river red gums) growing near the soakage.
